Natasha Craft

Biography

Natasha Craft has been a teacher for 24 years. She has taught a STEM lab for all kindergarten through fifth grade students at Pulaski Elementary School for the past seven years. Previously, Natasha taught first, second, and fourth grade social studies and fourth and fifth grade science. Natasha strives to instill a love for science in all her students. Her class is high energy and engaging. Natasha organized the school's first Hour of Code, led the school's VEX Robotics team to their first state championship, and recently received the Voya Unsung Heroes Grant to establish the "Mustang Makers Project" introducing 3D printing to her students. Natasha's passion for teaching goes beyond the classroom. She has provided professional development at the local, state, and national level. As a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch Master Teacher, she has traveled across the country training other educators in the curriculum she uses so successfully with her own students. She currently serves on the Kentucky Science Teachers Association Board of Directors, is the PAEMST Alumni Representative for the state of Kentucky, and is a PLTW Master Teacher Lead which enables her to train other master teachers. Natasha's awards include the Kentucky PLTW Teacher of the Year, the Valvoline Teacher Achievement Award, the Voya Unsung Heroes Award and the International Teacher of Engineering and Technology Education Award. Natasha earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Centre College, Danville, KY, and a Master of Education in instructional leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. She has certifications in elementary education and supervision.
