Being nominated for the Presidential Award affirms the importance of what I do in the classroom everyday. This award is a testament to my goal of providing authentic and engaging learning experiences for each of my students every day. The application process was possible only with the support of my family, colleagues, students, and administration. Receiving this honor also motivates me to accept the challenge of leadership beyond the classroom with confidence.
