To receive the Presidential Award reinforces my beliefs in public education.  My choices as an educator are made by keeping in mind what is best for my students.  I am truly honored and humbled to represent my state, my fellow educators, and most importantly my students, in being recognized by the National Science Foundation.  I hope my efforts inspire others to strive for excellence in science education, as our students deserve the best of us so we can get the best out of them.
