This great honor was not obtained solely by my own efforts. Every day I go to work and have the privilege of looking into the eyes of the future. I am encouraged by how bright that future appears. Any recognition I receive as a teacher is simply a result of the hard work of my students. My teaching strategies are based on what I have learned from fantastic colleagues. My work ethic stems from the example my family sets, and its support. This recognition is a chance for me to say “thank you.”
