The Presidential Award is validation that I am on the right path in terms of my approach to education. The path to successful implementation of science has been filled with both successes and failures, but never regret. Taking chances by trying new methods can come with the risk of failure, but even failures offer lessons in growth. I am thankful for my supervisors, colleagues, students, and family for their support that has helped me along this path in becoming an effective facilitator.
