The Presidential Award represents validation, affirmation, authentication, and inspiration to me and more importantly my students. Passionate about what I do and why I do it, I understand knowledge begins with a willingness to take risks, wonder, question, seek, and discuss. As a practitioner, I am honored to be recognized by science educators who, like me, embrace and practice pedagogy in its pure form. This recognition encapsulates my expertise, experience, and practice as I guide my students.
