Winning the Presidential Award was a significant affirming experience in my professional career. I was humbled by the nomination for the award by my principal who truly appreciated my work and efforts with students. Receiving the award and becoming a part of this network of PAEMST colleagues opened many professional doors for me to share the work that I do with students and colleagues over the years as well as increasing my own professional development.
