The Presidential Award is a commendation that recognizes teachers’ service to our country. We are called, not created, to serve society. Science and math educators inspire young innovators by encouraging them to investigate, experiment, problem solve, and imagine. My students have always challenged me to be better. They have inspired me to be more creative, more resourceful, and more supportive so they can realize their full potential. I am deeply grateful for this honor.
