It is a tremendous honor to be recognized at the national level for a profession I am passionate about and a job I love doing. My desire for my students is to become actively engaged in doing science. This award energizes me to continue to excite the students about science as they explore, investigate, inquire, and make predictions about the world in which they live. I am an educator and the person I am because of each student’s indelible imprint on my life. This award is the icing on the cake!
