Receiving the Presidential Award means that I am joining an elite group of science educators whose active membership is critical in promoting quality science teaching and learning. This award is truly an unimaginable dream come true. I teach because I love the challenge, the diversity, the mystery of what lies ahead each day, and most of all because I love working with young students. It has been an amazing opportunity to be recognized by doing what I have a passion for: teaching science.
