Being recognized with the Presidential Award is a humbling honor. It brings me such joy that the power of high-quality teaching in science, especially at the elementary level, is valued. Too often science does not get the time and focus at the elementary level, so the Presidential Award for elementary science teachers is an incredible statement that effective and engaging science learning experiences for students make a difference.
