I am indebted to the Texas Regional Collaboratives for my growth in science content and purposeful pedagogy. This organization has impacted not only my life, but also those of my students and the students of teachers with whom I have shared information. Knowledge is power, and the TRC has enabled me to become a powerful teacher. Earning the PAEMST validates how quality ongoing professional development is crucial to improving education and inspiring the next generation to pursue STEM careers.

Stef Paramoure is currently an energetic teacher of science at Oakrun Middle School. Prior to that, she spent 7 years teaching science at Canyon Middle School. Both schools are located in New Braunfels, TX. Stef's mantra, “Knowledge is power,” emanates from her classroom as she creates a culture in which learning science is an active and exciting partnership between student and teacher, and mistakes are celebrated as learning opportunities for the brain. Classrooms today are populated with digital natives; Stef provides quality hands-on, minds-on learning opportunities that incorporate technology. Star parties, pigeon genetics, Super Saturday Science, Parent Science Nights, and the Science Fair are a few of the ways that she has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help ensure student success. Stef is a leader in sharing the power of technology with other educators by presenting at state and national conferences. Stef has a B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies from Texas Lutheran University and an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Grand Canyon University. As a fourth-year member of Texas Regional Collaboratives for Excellence in Science and Math, she has completed more than 500 hours of content and pedagogy training. She is certified in reading and science through eighth grade.
