The Presidential Award is validation of the call to service I feel for our children. This significant honor recognizes perseverance and hard work, but also comes with responsibility to hold expectations high for our future. Determination and problem solving are science practices I strive to instill in my students. My commitment to education has come from the countless mentors, colleagues, and students from whom I have learned through my career.
